Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) sees itself as an international university and has anchored this self-image in its mission statement and objectives. The internationalisation standards are also reflected in the range of international degrees on offer, a well-founded range of subject-related foreign languages and electives on international and intercultural topics.
The International Welcome Center
The International Welcome Centre (IWC) is a service that supports international students and visiting academics during their stay at THI. The common goal of all organisational units involved at THI is to make their transition to life in our region as smooth as possible and to provide all the necessary information. We support international students and employees in many ways, from assistance with arrival and orientation to integration into everyday university life and social life, right through to entering the labour market. For example, our services include counselling on topics such as residence permits, health insurance and language courses.
In addition to individual counselling, we organise various events and workshops to promote interaction between international and German students and thus create a sense of community. We value and recognise diversity as an enrichment for our cooperation and for achieving our common goals in teaching, research and transfer. The International Welcome Centre is instrumental in realising this vision by ensuring that our international guests have an enriching experience at THI.
