Welcome to all Italian self-learners!
Why is it worth learning Italian?
Pavarotti, Vivaldi, Gucci – we know these names. And they are just a few examples that reflect Italy's influence in the world. Italian culture is one of the most widespread and appreciated in the world, whether gastronomy, history, art, fashion, design or automobiles.
The land of the Romans fulfills every kind of dream. What better motivation is there to learn Italian as quickly as possible?
Around the world there are approximately 70 million people who speak Italian as their mother tongue. Italian descends from Latin of the era of the Roman Empire. The country was subsequently divided into several regions that had their own dialect. At the reunification in 1861, the dialect of Tuscany was chosen as the national language. So it is the language from Florence, one of the cultural strongholds of the country, that is spoken in Italy today.
Italian is similar in many ways to other Romance languages such as French or Spanish. Therefore, learning Italian is easier if you already speak another Romance language.
