About sustainED - Education Network for Sustainable Futures

The sustainED project – Education Network for Sustainable Futures – aims to integrate sustainability knowledge across the board into teaching, research and university management in the long term and to equip students, but also researchers and university staff, with the necessary basic understanding of sustainability in order to contribute to the necessary transformation for more sustainable development.

Together with UFPR (Universidade Federal do Paraná), UFSC (Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina) and PUCPR (Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná), Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt is developing modular qualification and further education programmes on sustainability for management and engineering. The impact of the measures is achieved through the three pillars of expertise (knowledge transfer), mindset (awareness raising) and practice (practical projects and networking), with the primary focus being on the area of teaching and the target group of students.

Other non-university partners of the project are Grupo Boticário (Brazil), KION Group South America Ltda (Brazil), Innovationsfabrik (Germany), InBS (Brazilian Institute of Sustainability, Brazil) and inas (Institut für angewandte Nachhaltigkeit, Germany).

The project is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with around €300,000 from the Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) as part of the SDG partnerships and is based at the Sustainability Research and Transfer Center Neuburg (ForTraNN) and the AWARE Center. The project will run for four years.
